Parks and Recreation Department has four employees. There are 141 acres of land considered as parks area. These include Coleman Park, Kiddie Park, Fitness Park, Hamilton Park, Gillham Park Park, Jake Geron Park, RV Park and Lanny Park. Also included are the Franco softball field, girls softball fields, little league baseball fields and the Brownfield Family Aquatic Center.
The Brownfield Family Aquatic Center was open in May of 2007. The pool has lap lanes and a one meter diving board as well as a lazy river, beach entry, a couple of slides and water aerobic classes. The Brownfield Family Aquatic Center attracts people of all ages from all around the area.
Kiddie Park was renovated with grant funding from the Texas Park and Wildlife Department. Renovation plans were designed to accommodate citizens of all ages.

Alamo Event Center Non-Rental Facility
Description: The center building is approximately 4000 sq. ft., with concrete floors downstairs. Facilities: 2 basketball goals, 2 regulation batting cages(baseball & softball), access to 105 chairs & 50 tables ( eight 8ft. tables & 42 six ft. tables), kitchen with 2 refrigerators, stove, sink (hot & cold water), hand washing sink, coffee maker, microwave, large freezer , central heat & air, men & women's bathroom, outdoor grill.
